Ordinary Time

This season takes place from the day of Pentecost to the First Sunday of Advent. During this time, the Church continues to focus on the life of Jesus.

The liturgical colour for Ordinary Time is green. This colour symbolizes hope, growth, and the ongoing life of faith.  The green vestments worn by clergy serve as a reminder that faith is a continuous journey.

Ordinary Time doesn’t focus on specific events in Jesus’ life or major feasts; it invites believers to find God in the everyday moments of life.  It encourages personal spiritual growth, prayer, and acts of charity.

Ordinary Time reminds us that our faith is not limited to extraordinary events but is lived out in the ordinary routines of life. It encourages us to seek God’s presence in the mundane and to grow as Disciples of Christ.
